We are now recruiting for hybrid working Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics to make the most of their existing clinical knowledge and take on a new role with a supportive, locally owned assessment provider.

As a Functional Assessor you will be providing unbiased, comprehensive assessments for the Government's disability allowance (PIP) whilst ensuring a personalised, inclusive and empathetic service for the service user.

  • Basic salary £40,000

  • Hybrid, approx. 2-3 days in clinic per week

  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:30-5:00 (40 hours per week)

Your New Role
  • As a Functional Assessor, you will conduct 3-4 assessments per day including telephone/face to face assessment and report.
  • As a Functional Assessor, your cases and appointments will be spread throughout the day allowing you to have greater job autonomy to manage cases to conclusion.
  • You will assess the full range of health conditions and disabilities affecting the claimant, including physical, sensory, mental, intellectual and cognitive impairments.
  • You will have time built into your working rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, requesting and reviewing further evidence and team meetings.
Requirements
  • Qualified Nurse, Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist or Paramedic.
  • 1+ years post qualification experience.
  • Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy
