Hensall Co-op is seeking a dynamic individual to become an integral part of our IT Team! This is a full-time remote position, but the ideal candidate will be located within reasonable travel distance of Hensall, Ontario.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain full stack web applications using React.js and AngularJS
• Develop scalable and secure backend services, and APIs using Python and Node.js
• Write complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to support application requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback to improve code quality
• Document technical specifications, application designs, and development processes
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and apply this knowledge to improve current and future projects

Job Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in full stack web development
• Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience will also be considered
• Solid experience with Python (Flask), and RESTful APIs
• Experience with relational SQL databases (e.g., MySQL or PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with Agile development methodologies

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of React JS life cycle hooks
• Experience with multi-tenancy applications
• Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker)
• Previous experience in an IT role considered an asset
