Job description
Overview

At Vitrue Health, our mission is bold but simple: eliminate musculoskeletal (MSK) pain for millions worldwide. As a Frontend Developer, you'll be at the forefront of building VIDA - our web platform that combines computer vision, clinical diagnostics, and intuitive user interfaces to deliver tailored assessments, stretching plans, and personalised recommendations that prevent pain and improve workplace wellbeing. Your primary focus will be on creating exceptional user experiences, collaborating closely with designers and clinical experts to build responsive, accessible, and engaging applications already used by thousands.

Responsibilities
  • Crafting user interfaces that make complex clinical assessments feel simple and engaging
  • Implementing responsive designs that work flawlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
  • Collaborating with designers to translate mockups into polished, accessible interfaces
  • Working with clinical experts to understand user needs and translate complex requirements into intuitive experiences
  • Participating in code reviews, architecture discussions, and the entire development process, from ideation to production
  • Optimizing performance and ensuring our applications are fast, reliable, and delightful to use
  • Contributing to our design system and helping maintain consistency across our platform
Qualifications
  • Must haves
  • Extensive experience developing front-end applications with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js)
  • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript (ES6+), with a focus on cross-browser compatibility, accessibility principles, and delivering high-quality, maintainable code
  • Proven track record of building complex, user-facing applications with real-world usage in commercial roles, open-source contributions, or personal projects
  • Self-starter with autonomy – you make smart UI/UX decisions independently, take ownership of the frontend experience, and aren’t afraid to figure things out without hand-holding
  • Eager to move fast and ship – progress over perfection, delivering polished features in small increments
  • Product-minded and user-focused – you work closely with designers and clinical experts, always considering usability and accessibility
  • Builder and improver – you suggest improvements to user flows, optimize performance, and help evolve our design system
  • Nice to haves
  • Experience with building B2B, SaaS platforms
  • Backend curiosity: comfort with backend technologies (C#, ASP.NET Core, MySQL, AWS) and willingness to dive into backend code when needed
  • Performance optimization: experience with bundle optimization, lazy loading, and frontend performance monitoring
  • Obsessed with learning: curious, self-motivated, and up-to-date with frontend trends and best practices
  • Driven by impact: excited to build something meaningful that improves people’s health and wellbeing
Salary and Benefits
  • Salary: £55-70k, depending on experience
  • 2 days of learning leave
  • Monthly team dinners and annual team retreat
  • Meaningful share options, so that you own a part of the company
  • Flexible use of Public Holidays
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
  • A shiny MacBook Pro or equipment to do your best work
  • 25 days holiday (excl. bank holidays)
  • Dog-friendly workspace (currently in Camden but soon to move to a new office near Liverpool Street)
