Job description

A Receptionist provides reception services for Guests to contribute to an overall exceptional experience from check-in through check-out and complete audits, as required.

What will I be doing?

As a Receptionist, you will:

  • Provide reception services for Guests to ensure an exceptional experience from check-in to check-out.
  • Create positive first impressions and perform tasks to the highest standards, including:
  • Achieve positive outcomes from Guest queries in a timely manner.
  • Ensure an efficient check-in/out process and complete audit procedures.
  • Keep the Front Office Manager and Reception Supervisors informed of relevant guest feedback and departmental updates.
  • Demonstrate high levels of customer service at all times.
  • Attend training courses and assist with team training and development.
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel room categories, rates, packages, and promotions.
  • Maximize room occupancy through up-selling techniques.
  • Handle foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash according to hotel policies.
  • Follow security, fire, health, and safety regulations.
  • Operate front of house equipment and property management systems in accordance with policies.
  • Follow brand standards and assist other departments as needed.
