About the Role

Orka Financial is currently partnering with a global manufacturing business based in West Drayton that is looking to recruit a FP&A Analyst. In this newly created role you will become a trusted Business Partner for Operations, ensuring that the business owners are supported with the right insight and information and prepare the monthly management accounts/ MI and presentations providing clarity and insight to the department heads. You will play a key role in providing actionable insights to guide decision-making, improve financial performance, and ensure the long-term success of the business by working closely with the Operations Finance Business Partner.

Responsibilities
  • To be a trusted Business Partner for Operations ensuring that the business owners are supported with the right insight and information
  • Prepare the monthly management accounts/ MI and presentations providing clarity and insight to the department heads
  • Present monthly results to section/department heads to ensure they fully understand their financial position (cost & productivity) and to ensure the data is correct
  • Support/partner the business in achieving the financial targets, identify risk and opportunities, challenges areas of cost savings and integrate this into ongoing decision support
  • Prepare the weekly and monthly Output & Productivity reports, ensuring reporting is available on time and in the correct format
  • Further develop the weekly and monthly Output & Productivity reporting utilising the capabilities of the various systems to develop and automate the reporting
  • Support the Operations Finance Business Partner with ad-hoc and regular analysis and reporting
  • Support the FP&A team to prepare detailed forecasts and budgets in close collaboration with the various departments
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders through the sharing of knowledge and collaboration
  • Champion working as part of a team within the business
Profile
  • An analytical, skilled problem solver with the ability to take a problem and, using relevant financial and operational data, prepare relevant analyses to support decision making
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to build strong relationships across multiple stakeholders
  • Part-qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with 2+ years’ business partnering work experience
  • Able to effectively communicate, both verbally and in Excel and PowerPoint with stakeholders both within Finance and the wider business
  • Comfortable analysing large data sets and providing detailed insight
  • Thrive in conditions of rapid growth and change and have the ambition and energy to drive the business and role forward
  • An eye for detail, with a structured approach to analysis and the ability to check own workings
  • Resilient, able to work to tight deadlines and manage multiple stakeholders
  • A keen willingness to learn and develop new systems
