Job summary

A leading recruitment agency seeks an FLT Operator for a production environment in Smethwick. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in production and hold an FLT Licence. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a production environment.
  • FLT experience and Licence preferred.
  • Must be comfortable being on foot for long periods.

Responsibilities

  • Follow Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
  • Manage the setting and running of machinery.
  • Achieve high quality standards on produced work.
  • Meet customer demands in a timely manner.
  • Drive the FLT when required.
  • Complete other departmental duties as requested.

Role: FLT Operator
Location: DS Smith Packaging, Langley House, 5 Summit Cres, Smethwick B66 1BT, United Kingdom
Rate: £16.27 Per hour basic
Type: Contract
Shift Patterns: Double days (6 AM- 2 PM & 2 PM - 10 PM) Monday to Thursday (6 AM- 1 PM & 2 PM- 8 PM)
Start: ASAP

Responsibilities
  • Working in line with Health and Safety guidance and processes at all times
  • Managing the setting and running of machinery
  • Achieving high quality standards on all work produced
  • Adhering to customer demands in a timely manner
  • Driving the FLT as and when required
  • Completing any other duties relevant to the department as requested by the shift manager
Essential requirements
  • Previous experience in a production environment (2+ years)
  • FLT experience and Licence (preferred)
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Comfortable being on foot for long periods of time
  • Able to conduct manual handling
  • Driving licence and use of a car
