Job description

Are you an experienced and compassionate Forensic Psychologist looking to apply your expertise within a highly supportive, forward-thinking NHS Community Directorate?

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Forensic Psychologist to join our developing specialist service in North Lincolnshire. The role is part-time (2 days per week) and offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced psychological professionals across our community and secondary care pathways.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for people with complex mental health and forensic needs.
  • Offer consultation, advice and supervision to multidisciplinary colleagues, promoting trauma‑informed practice.
  • Contribute to service development, evaluation and audit, embedding evidence‑based approaches and high standards of care.
  • Participate in risk assessment and management, supporting safe, effective care planning.
  • Supervise and develop trainee psychologists.
  • Contribute to MDT formulation, reflective practice and staff wellbeing.
About the Service

The North Lincolnshire Community Directorate includes integrated community, primary care, rehabilitation and crisis pathways. You’ll join a team of psychological professionals with strong leadership and a commitment to innovation and co‑production.

Qualifications
  • A BPS‑accredited Doctorate in Forensic or Clinical Psychology (or equivalent).
  • HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Experience in forensic or complex mental health settings.
  • Skills in formulation, assessment, evidence‑based intervention and risk assessment.
  • Experience of multidisciplinary working, supervision and consultation.
