Overview

Food Service Assistant (Maternity Cover, Term Time Only) – Brooksby College. This is a fixed term, term time only role working 25 hours per week across 36 weeks. The successful candidate will join a busy college catering team and deliver an exceptional customer service standard while helping with the daily running of the catering provision.

Responsibilities
  • Serve customers, handle cash, and maintain kitchen standards.
  • Have a good awareness of food allergens and communicate regularly with the chefs about allergens and ingredients.
  • Support internal catering, stock rotation, and maintain cleanliness, kitchen hygiene and health and safety standards across all areas.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Knowledge of food allergens and ability to communicate allergen information to customers and colleagues.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a busy college canteen environment.
  • Right to work in the country without the need for sponsorship (the role states no skilled worker sponsorship).
  • DBS check will be required as part of safeguarding measures.
  • Notice of potential change to closing date if a sufficient level of interest is received.

  • Employed by The Leicestershire College, a subsidiary of Loughborough College. Terms differ from Loughborough College.
