Job Description:
As a Food Service Assistant with Sodexo at RAF Brize Norton, Carterton, OX18 3LX. You'll play an important role in supporting military personnel on a Ministry of Defence (MOD) base. Your day-to-day interactions will directly impact the experience of those serving, ensuring they have a positive and efficient dining experience.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop your skills and complete any required training.
- Maintain excellent client and customer relationships.
- Keep work areas clean, tidy, and compliant with hygiene standards.
- Prepare and serve meals following recipes and portion guidelines.
- Operate the till accurately and follow cash handling procedures.
- Report any accidents, faults, or near misses to management.
- Ensure food is served at the correct temperature and presentation standards are met.
- Support with stock control, waste reduction, and general cleaning duties.
- Follow opening and closing procedures and maintain site security.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, management, and clients.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by management.
What You’ll Need:
Essential:
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a similar role within the service industry.
Desirable:
- Experience working within a military environment.
- Level 1 Food Safety, HSWA, and COSHH certificates.
