Purpose of the role
The role holder will have operational responsibility for ensuring that all retail units, kitchen, commercial partnerships and events across the venue are food safety and legislatively compliant.
They will act as a key knowledge holder/provider to all stakeholders across the venue and will ensure that immediate actions are taken where non-compliance issues arise.
Key responsibilities
- Venue Food Safety Compliance
- Work with all food and beverage partners to ensure they meet legislative and food safety compliance and be the main point of contact for all food safety matters
- Ensure required standards of safety, security, cleanliness, service delivery and presentation standards are maintained
- Ensure that quality control and reporting systems are in place
- Conduct regular inspections and event audits across the venue
- Ensure that biannual audits are carried out by external auditors and be the liaison to external auditors and caterers to implement corrective and preventatives actions as required
Oversee all Excel safeguarding operations/initiatives, managing internal revisit audits and improvement programmes
Create, improve, implement and monitor food safety policies and procedures for the venue
