  • Maintain cleanliness in production areas.
  • Follow health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.
  • Conduct regular quality checks.
  • Assist with stock control and replenishment.
  • Work effectively as part of a team.
  • Complete production records and paperwork accurately.

Job Opportunity: Food Production Operatives - Days & Nights (Ad-Hoc Shifts)

Location: Hortonwood area

Client: Food manufacturing environment

Shifts: Separate day and night shifts available

Type: Ad-hoc basis (shifts not guaranteed)

Hours & Pay:

  • Days: 6:00am - 6:00pm | £13.96 per hour
  • Nights: 6:00pm - 6:00am | £14.94 per hour

Our client operates 24/7, so work may be required on any day of the week, including weekends.

We are currently recruiting reliable Food Production Operatives to join our client's busy production site in the Hortonwood area. This role offers flexible, ad-hoc shifts based on site requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and operate production machinery according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients as per product specifications.
  • Monitor production lines to ensure products meet quality and safety standards.
  • Pack, label, and palletise finished goods for storage or dispatch.
  • Maintain cleanliness of workstations and production areas in line with hygiene requirements.
  • Follow all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations (including HACCP).
  • Conduct regular quality checks and report any faults or non-conformance's.
  • Assist with stock control and replenishment of raw materials.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production targets.
  • Complete production records and paperwork accurately.
Requirements
  • Good understanding of written and spoken English, as candidates will be invited to the site to complete an aptitude test.
  • Previous food production experience is helpful but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment.
  • Reliability, good communication skills, and willingness to follow strict hygiene and safety procedures.
