Overview

Are you looking for a long term role as a food production operative?

Responsibilities

• Handling — using knife skills to prepare vegetables, including separating florets of broccoli/cauliflower, slicing sweet potatoes into wedges, and removing the cores from peppers.
• Checking — washing and preparing delicate vegetables to required standards and processes.
• Processing — hand preparing root crops into bags up to 10 kg in weight.
• Inspecting and sorting peeled root crops to meet customer requirements.
• Packing orders to meet customer requirements, pallet banding and wrapping.

Qualifications and Environment

• Past experience working in a warehouse.
• Experience in a similar environment is advantageous but not essential.
• The environment is very cold, so you must be comfortable working in these conditions.

Role Details

• This is an ongoing role.
• You will work 3-5 days per week, including weekends.
• Starting at 8:00 am and working between 8 and 12 hours per day.
• Rate: £12.21 per hour.
