Job summary

A leading food manufacturing company is seeking Food Production Operatives to join their facility in Whitchurch, UK. The role involves packing, cutting cheese, and ensuring quality checks while lifting products up to 20 kg. Previous experience in the food industry is desirable. This is a temporary-to-permanent position with opportunities for career progression and in-house training. Competitive pay at £12.21 per hour, working Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:00.

Food Production Operatives

Recruit4Staff are proud to be representing their client, a leading food manufacturing company in their search for a Food Production Operatives to work in their leading facility in Whitchurch.

For the successful Food Production Operatives our client is offering:

12.21 per hour

Monday to Friday 07:30 - 16:00

Temporary – Permanent position

On-site walk‑around / Induction to understand the roles and environment

Growth within multiple sections / areas of the business

Career progression / In House training

Responsibilities

• Packing
• Cutting blocks of cheese to specified sizes
• Palletising
• Unboxing products
• Heavy lifting up to 20 kg
• Quality checking
• Deal with any rejects from the production lines
• Follow food and hygiene regulations on site
• Work with a team of around 6-8 people
• Supervise the correct running of the various machines ensuring quality finished product
• Create and maintain correct daily / weekly cleaning documents

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience within the food manufacturing industry – DESIRABLE
• Picking / packing / palletising experience – DESIRABLE
• Ability to complete / read labels and paperwork when required – ESSENTIAL
• Comfortable with heavy lifting up to 20 kg – ESSENTIAL
