We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading US law firm, to assist them in their search for a new Float Legal Secretary.

This is a new permanent role in their London office, to work as part of their highly collaborative team, whereby the successful applicant will be responsible for providing a range of secretarial and administrative tasks across multiple practice areas.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Proofreading, processing, and preparing documents to ensure accuracy.
  • Utilising software applications.
  • Transcription and dictation of handwritten documents.
  • Managing and scheduling calendar, meeting, and deadline reminders.
  • Organising and prioritising mail, phone calls, emails, and documents.
  • Booking travel and accommodation arrangements.
  • Maintaining e-filing and managing inboxes.
  • Using the CRM to update client contacts.
  • Ensuring weekly timesheets are timely dealt with.
  • Performing overload document requests and filing as needed.
  • Regularly attending training and meetings.

Suitable candidates will have gained prior legal secretarial experience, ideally within a law firm, although professional services environments will also be considered. We are seeking applicants with exemplary attention to detail, transcription, communication, and organisation skills. Demonstrated experience across different practice areas is highly desired.
