Our client is a well-established, leading specialist in high-quality flexible films. Recognised as a market leader across the UK and Europe, the company has built its success through ongoing investment in cutting-edge manufacturing technology, innovative product development, exceptional quality standards, and a strong customer-focused culture.

They are now seeking an experienced Flexo Printer to join their production team and operate wide-web 9 to 11 colour Flexographic Printing machines. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a forward-thinking organisation that values quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

As a Flexo Printer, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining flexographic printing equipment in line with company procedures and job specifications. You will ensure production schedules are met while maintaining the highest quality standards and minimising waste. Collaboration with other departments is key to ensuring smooth operations and optimal production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate 9 to 11 colour Flexo printing presses (Flexotecnica/Koenig Bauer or similar) according to production schedules.
  • Ensure all jobs meet quality standards, carrying out checks at multiple stages to prevent waste and rework.
  • Complete detailed specification sheets, ensuring settings and production details are accurately recorded for repeatability.
  • Work closely with the Shift Manager to identify and implement improvements in quality, efficiency, and overall processes.
  • Minimise material and ink usage during set-up and production without compromising quality.
  • Carry out basic machine maintenance and report any issues or tooling concerns promptly.
  • Maintain a clean and organised working environment in line with company standards.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and ensure compliance at all times.
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as Maintenance, Ink Stores, Pre-Press, and Quality to resolve issues and maintain smooth workflow.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Proven experience operating Flexotecnica, Koenig Bauer, or similar wide-web Flexo presses (9/10/11 colour).
  • Background in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment – ideally with automated processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with experience in quality checking finished products.
  • A proactive and flexible team player with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and shift patterns.
  • Good communication, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Solid understanding of 5S, TPM, Kaizen, and Kanban principles would be advantageous.
  • Basic IT skills required; full SAP training will be provided.
  • Excellent record of attendance, reliability, and timekeeping.
