Fleet Dilapidations Manager - Rail

£338.85 per day (PAYE) or £450 (Umbrella / LTD rate)

3 Months – Full Time

We are recruiting for an experienced rail manager to deliver a programme of fleet dilapidation works. The successful will have experience in delivering fleet projects, ideally dilapidation projects. You will be a strong communicator who can challenge key stakeholders to ensure correct commercial decisions are made and the project is delivered on time.

Key Accountabilities
  • Management of the Dilapidations programme for the train fleet at Norwich Crown Point Depot and Clacton Light Maintenance Depot.
  • Plan for the maximum number of defects to be closed by early October, without affecting daily services
  • Monitoring progress and management of the Stadler dilapidations work and reporting back to senior management.
  • Carrying out quality inspections of pre work and completed works, to ensure glass case is complied with (but not over and above).
What we require
  • Inspection of rolling stock, in particular paint (required)
  • Project Management experience within rail, in particular fleet projects (required)
  • Previous dilapidation work within other rail providers (required)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the confidence to influence all internal stakeholders and external bodies
