Overview

Yorkshire Ambulance Service: Ancillary Services Team, are offering an opportunity for a shift 10 hours per week, Premise Cleaner at our Ripon Ambulance Station.

Working days and times are dependent upon provision required, due to the Yorkshire Ambulance Service being a 24/7 Emergency Service. Allocated Bank Holiday working may be required. A very basic Physical Capability Assessment (PCA) is mandatory to this role, prior to any unconditional offer of employment. Responsibilities
  • Station/Site Cleaning: undertake cleaning, decontamination, and other associated tasks to meet the high standards of cleanliness and Infection Prevention and Control measures required across our stations and sites.
  • Ensure activities are performed in line with Trust Cleaning Protocols, procedures, and specific daily work schedules.
  • Achieve and maintain all required standards of cleanliness across the organization. Cleaning includes entrances and foyers, public and staff washrooms/toilets, kitchens, canteens/restaurants, gym/s, shower rooms, training rooms, corridors, stairs, landings, lifts, offices, contact centres, storerooms, dirty utility rooms, crew rooms, external areas, and other related areas.
  • Maintain adequate stocks of cleaning materials and record all daily activities, including urgent spillages and ad-hoc cleaning and deep cleaning as requested or identified.
  • Use of basic IT; access and inputting information is essential (example: emails and timesheets). Full support provided.
  • Adhere to NCFE IPC level 2 qualifications.
  • Demonstrate a flexible, can-do attitude towards ad-hoc changes in scheduled work and potential alternative location support cover within the shift.
  • Due to site support needs and the Emergency Services healthcare provision, short notice changes can occur within tasks and duties.
  • Ability to work alone to plan essential tasks, ensure completion within limited time restraints, and communicate effectively with senior staff.
