Job summary

A leading global engineering company based in Tyseley is seeking a Fitter to provide world-class pre-sales and post-sales support. The successful candidate will be responsible for mechanical fitting and assembly, pressure testing, and wiring of control panels. Proven experience with refrigeration systems and mechanical and electrical fitting skills are essential. Training can be provided for specific areas, and an F Gas qualification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of refrigeration systems and cooling systems both single and double stage.
• Proven fitting experience.
• Ability to work to planned time and respect for quality.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical fitting and assembly of components
• Pressure testing of units and charging.
• Electrical wiring of control panel. Training can be given if electrical side is weak.
• Cladding and finishing of finished item.
• Testing of finished equipment.

Experience Required

• Good knowledge of refrigeration systems and cooling systems both single and double stage
• Proven fitting experience
• Mechanical and Electrical fitting skills
• Brazing, soldering and pipebending of copper tube
• Ability to work to laid out instructions and to a planned time
• Respect for quality and ability to self inspect
• F Gas qualification would be preferred but training can be given if not
