Job description

An epic opportunity awaits an experienced, high-energy events professional to lead the delivery of a flagship experiential fitness event series that blends mass participation training, community, music, and culture. This is a standout role for someone who thrives at the intersection of fitness, live events, and entertainment, and who knows how to deliver unforgettable participant experiences at scale.

As Fitness Events Manager, you will take full ownership of end-to-end event delivery, overseeing everything from creative planning and logistics through to on-site execution and post-event reporting. With a strong focus on operational excellence, safety, and commercial performance, this role is central to ensuring each event is delivered seamlessly, consistently, and to an exceptional standard.


Working Hours: Full-time, On-Site (with event-based evenings and weekends)

Reporting to: Senior Leadership / Events Director

The Role...

1. Event Planning & Delivery

  • Lead the full lifecycle of large-scale fitness events, from concept and planning through to delivery and post-event evaluation.
  • Develop detailed operational plans, run sheets, production schedules, and staffing models.
  • Manage supplier sourcing, negotiations, contracts, and logistics across production, equipment, AV, staging, branding, and F&B.
  • Ensure every event is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.

2. Participant Experience

  • Own the end-to-end participant journey, from registration through to on-site experience and post-event engagement.
  • Work closely with talent and entertainment partners to secure headline acts, DJs, and presenters that elevate the experience.
  • Ensure events are engaging, safe, inclusive, and aligned with the brand’s experiential vision.
  • Monitor participant feedback, satisfaction scores, and NPS, implementing improvements continuously.

3. Operational Excellence & Safety

  • Create and maintain event SOPs, methodologies, and safety frameworks to ensure consistency across all events.
  • Oversee on-site operations including equipment, staging, AV, signage, crowd flow, staffing, and emergency procedures.
  • Ensure full compliance with health & safety, insurance, and legal requirements.
  • Remain calm, solutions-focused, and decisive in high-pressure live environments.

4. Commercial & Budget Ownership

  • Own event budgets, forecasting, cost control, and financial performance.
  • Monitor margins, supplier spend, and resource allocation.
  • Work with commercial teams to integrate sponsorships, brand partnerships, and revenue opportunities into events.
  • Track attendance and financial performance against targets, adjusting plans where needed.

5. Team Leadership

  • Recruit, lead, and develop coaches, contractors, crew, and event staff.
  • Set clear expectations, training standards, and performance benchmarks.
  • Manage staffing plans, rotas, and contractor briefs to ensure smooth delivery.
  • Foster a high‑performing, motivated team culture rooted in professionalism and pride.

6. Stakeholder & Partner Management

  • Collaborate closely with marketing, creative, production, and brand teams to deliver cohesive event experiences.
  • Manage relationships with suppliers, production partners, equipment providers, and technology partners.
  • Support sponsors and partners with seamless activation, integration, and delivery of event rights.

7. Continuous Improvement & Reporting

  • Lead post-event debriefs and produce detailed reports covering performance, safety, feedback, and financial outcomes.
  • Identify innovations, trends, and opportunities to evolve future events.
  • Apply learnings to improve scalability, efficiency, and participant experience across the portfolio.
The Person...
  • Proven experience delivering large-scale or mass-participation fitness events (e.g. fitness festivals, competitions, races, large group workouts).
  • Strong operational and logistical background, ideally managing multi-event or multi-site portfolios.
  • Excellent project management, organisational, and planning skills.
  • Confident managing suppliers, partners, and cross-functional teams.
  • Deep understanding of health & safety, risk management, and crowd control.
  • Highly organised, calm under pressure, and solutions-focused.
  • Strong commercial and budget management skills.
  • A genuine passion for fitness, wellbeing, music, and community-led experiences.
