Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7, predominantly Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 6pm
Location: Faverdale - DL3 0UR

✅ WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • To supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence
  • Ensure drivers are legal and compliant on a daily and weekly basis and ensure clear communication between all functions within the transport department and the warehouse team
  • To manage the front desk, liaising with drivers and customers to deal with any queries. Completing defect reports and arranging servicing of fleet.
  • To lead the work activities of the drivers and the transport clerical team, providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training and development
✅ WHAT YOU'LL BRING
  • Must have people management experience in a transport/logistics environment
  • Great communicator with the ability to build a strong rapport with drivers and customers
  • Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Office. Experience of Tachomaster and Microlise is desirable, but not essential as training can be provided
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports
  • Good working knowledge of working time directive and driver's hours
