A healthcare service provider is seeking a physiotherapist to deliver first-contact services for a patient population in London. The role involves assessing, planning, and implementing treatment for musculoskeletal conditions, both in-person and remotely. To deliver a first-contact physiotherapy service for the PCN population (circa 40,000 patients) located in Lewisham and surrounding practices. The physiotherapist will assess, plan, implement and evaluate treatment and rehabilitation for patients with musculoskeletal and other appropriate conditions, working both face-to-face and remotely. The post-holder will schedule appointments, use EMIS, and provide high-quality patient-centred care.
Undertake patient assessment, diagnosis, formulation of treatment plans and delivery of physiotherapy interventions in line with evidence based practice.
Manage new and follow-up appointments, including scheduling and follow-up care.
Deliver consultations both face-to-face and remotely.
Demonstrate physiotherapy tools and exercises to support patient self-management.
Record assessments and outcomes on EMIS.
Work autonomously within scope of practice and escalate appropriately.
Liaise with GPs, practice staff, AHPs, and other stakeholders for seamless pathways.
Contribute to multidisciplinary team meetings and service development.
Service & Operational Duties
Work flexibly across day, evening and weekend sessions.
Ensure accurate appointment scheduling and follow-up.
Contribute to meeting service KPIs and continuous service improvement.
Maintain equipment and ensure appropriate use of physiotherapy tools.
Adhere to governance, safeguarding, infection control, and confidentiality policies.

3. Person Specification
BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification.
FCP HEE agreed recognition
HCPC registration and eligibility for CSP membership.
Experience managing MSK caseloads.
Ability to work independently and manage workload.
Familiarity with EMIS or similar systems.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Experience in primary care or first-contact physiotherapy.
Experience with remote consultations.
Evidence of service development or quality improvement.
Flexible working across multiple sites.
Demonstration of leadership or mentoring skills.
