First Aid Trainer

Location: Stafford (within 50-mile radius, extensive travel within Staffordshire, Shropshire, and West Midlands is a key part of the role)

Salary: £24,889 - £26,997 per annum (qualification dependent)

Hours: 35 per week excluding travel (Mon-Sat, 9-5, occasional evenings)

Contract:

Driving: Full UK driving license and vehicle (mileage reimbursed)

Join our team as a First Aid Trainer and deliver high-quality first aid courses. With over 30 years of experience, ISO:9001 2008 accreditation, the British Red Cross offers a superior learning experience. You will play a vital role in providing customer-focused training using diverse techniques to accommodate all learning styles, supported by comprehensive training and ongoing support. Please note: The successful candidate must be willing to travel within a 50-mile radius of their home address, with extensive travel within Staffordshire, Shropshire, and West Midlands.

What will a day in the life of a First Aid Trainer involve?
  • Conducting first aid training and specialist courses, equipping people with essential life-saving skills.
  • Teaching the right action to take in different situations, e.g., unresponsive individuals or burns.
  • Supporting people to build confidence to provide support in emergencies.
  • Traveling to training venues throughout the Midlands.
What will you need to be a successful First Aid Trainer?
  • A natural communicator with an engaging personality who thrives in group settings.
  • Strong active listening, problem-solving, debating, and feedback skills.
  • Possession of a Training or Teaching qualification, or willingness to obtain one.
  • Comfortable working independently and traveling using your own vehicle (travel time reimbursed).
  • Experience in delivering a range of training courses to diverse groups.
