Job description

Fire Safety Operations Manager

Venn Group is working with a leading Higher Education Institution to recruit a Fire Safety Operations Manager to lead on Fire Safety across the campus.

Daily rate: £300 umbrella

Duration: 6 months

Hours: 35 per week, Monday to Friday

Location: London

The successful candidate will:
  • Provide competent fire safety advice to assist with operational management of fire safety.
  • Deliver a cost-effective programme of proactive and reactive fire safety works.
  • Manage a portfolio of fire strategies for all buildings, including writing and reviewing the strategies.
  • Lead on implementation of fire risk assessment actions and actions from fire safety audits.
  • Attend operational meetings to lead on fire safety matters.
  • Work with Capital Projects to drive compliance with fire safety legislation in line with statutory guidance and best practice.
  • Carry out investigations into all related fire incidents.
  • Prepare reports on operational fire safety.
  • Manage contracts which provide planned and reactive fire safety life safety maintenance.
  • Develop fire safety technical guidance.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Level 4 Fire Safety | CFPA Diploma.
  • Experience within the public sector.
  • MIFireE is desirable.
