Job description
Overview

The Fire Safety Advisor supports the Head of Fire Safety for managing all aspects of: Fire Safety, Fire Prevention, and Fire Safety Training development and delivery to all staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide professional advice in regard to Fire Code, Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety Order) 2005, Building Regulations, and all other relevant legislation both within the Trust and for other client bodies.
  • Provide support to the Head of Fire Safety in providing and maintaining an adequate level of fire safety throughout the Trusts estate.
  • Ensure the Trust complies with the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (RRO), NHS Estates Firecode Policy and Principles, and associated management or design guidance.
  • Work closely with the Head of Fire Safety, Estates Management, Capital Projects Team, care Groups and Departmental managers in clinical and non-clinical areas to ensure the provision of a fire safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors and to facilitate sustained improvements in patient care and wellbeing.
