The role of Fire Risk Consultant will include (not exhaustive):
Responsibilities
- Conduct Legislative and Non‑Legislative Fire Risk assessments.
- Produce Fire Safety related reports commensurate with skill sets and qualifications, e.g. Reg 38 Fire Strategy.
- Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with current Legislative requirements, benchmark standards and guidance.
- Collaborate with Principal Fire Risk Consultant/Validator and Directors to maintain ongoing third‑party certification status.
- Act as key client contact for Consultancy projects and undertake FRAs across sectors including offices, factories, sleeping risks (hotel, residential flats, residential care), NHS Buildings, schools and colleges.
- Execute and complete projects on time and on budget, ensuring technical accuracy.
- Ensure FRA assessment, validation and release to administration meets NSI process & procedure.
- Maintain compliance with all policies and procedures relevant to the role.
- Participate in the development, advancement, and promotion of the business.
- Perform any other reasonable activity necessary to ensure the smooth‑running of the company.
Qualifications, Skills and Behaviours
- Experience of all aspects of Fire Risk Assessments in all buildings, especially high‑risk.
- Good communication and customer engagement skills, including effective interaction with stakeholders in high‑risk building assessments.
- Self‑management, punctuality, politeness and ability to work as part of a busy fire safety team.
- Appropriate behaviour when dealing with clients.
- Qualifications equal to or surpassing company minimum standards (Level 4 Fire Risk Assessment).
