Background

This position will suit either:

• A senior tax professional currently working in practice, seeking a step up to Director level with increased client and leadership responsibility.
• An experienced industry tax specialist, ideally from the banking, asset/wealth management or aviation sectors, who is interested in transitioning into advisory and applying their sector knowledge in a client-facing environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will lead tax advisory work across a diverse financial services client base, including asset and wealth management, banking, and aviation.

What You Will Do

• Take the lead on a wide range of tax advisory projects across the financial services sector.
• Provide high-level technical expertise, delivering innovative and commercially focused solutions.
• Mentor, support and develop a talented and ambitious tax team.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Contribute to business development by identifying opportunities and playing a central role in the continued growth of the Belfast FS practice.

• Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Extensive experience in a senior tax role, gained either in practice or within industry (banking, asset/wealth management, or aviation).
• Strong technical knowledge with proven ability to manage complex advisory projects.
• Leadership and mentoring experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
• Commercially focused, with a track record of contributing to business growth.
