Financial Planning & Analysis Specialist

Location: London based (50% hybrid working)
Salary: circa £70,000

If you enjoy building financial models, analysing trends, and partnering with teams to shape decisions, this role is the for you. You'll thrive if you're confident with Excel, eager to learn new tools, and want to influence how we plan and forecast.

A bit about the job:
You'll join our Finance team at Probitas Syndicate 1492, working closely with Aviva and other departments like Underwriting and Actuarial. Your role is all about building FP&A capability - from planning and reforecasting to variance analysis and reporting. You'll provide insights that help leaders make informed decisions and support the growth of our business. It's a chance to shape processes, improve tools, and deliver real value.

Please note that experience within the Financial Services or Insurance field is essential to be successful in this role.

Skills and experience we're looking for:
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn new tools, build knowledge and take ownership of development.
  • Excellent communication skills - able to present and understand complex information clearly.
  • Strong Excel skills and good understanding of financial statements in re/insurance.
  • Knowledge of specialty re/insurer structure; Lloyd's experience an advantage.
  • 2-5 years post-qualified experience (or equivalent).
