Scope: The Equity Private Placements team in Houlihan Lokey is growing and we are looking to add an experienced Financial Analyst to the team in London. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals dedicated to providing innovative capital solutions for businesses in need of strategic growth funding. Responsibilities
  • Support the team in the execution of transactions, raising capital across various equity and equity‑linked financing types, applicable across diverse situations including growth capital, direct minority secondary share sale, acquisition financing and recapitalizations for high‑growth companies.
  • Perform market research, assist in preparing client‑ready presentations, financial models and transaction materials, coordinating communications with clients and investors, gaining live deal insights into what investment banking and the world of minority equity financing entails.
Basic Qualifications / Requirements
  • Excellent academic track record and achieved a 2:1 or equivalent degree.
  • 1‑2 years of experience in PCM, DCM, ECM or M&A.
  • Demonstrated experience in valuation methodologies and financial modelling (e.g. LBO or DCF models).
  • Flair for communicating complex ideas and stories with data.
  • Strong financial knowledge and understanding of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence others.
  • A strong work ethic, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and workstreams simultaneously while maintaining excellent attention to detail and a desire to take the initiative.
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research skills, with the ability to work through key assumptions, implicit caveats and limitations.
  • Ability to work well in a team‑oriented environment, building effective relationships with multiple stakeholders internally and externally.
  • Motivation to work in a collaborative, rapidly changing, demanding but ultimately rewarding environment.
