Overview

Company: Refresco UK

Job title: Financial Accountant

Location: Kegworth Head Office

Contract: Permanent

Working pattern: Monday to Friday with hours as listed in the original description.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of treasury and FX functions: oversee cash management, forecasting, variance analysis, payments, group cash pool operations, and liaison with corporate treasury.
• FX settlement and reporting: monthly deal settlements with banks, reporting and analysis of FX results, hedging outlook, and accurate revaluation of foreign currency balances.
• Alcohol compliance management: administer UK alcohol compliance, reconcile returns, lead steering meetings, oversee audits, and validate new customers for alcoholic products.
• Financial close and reporting: deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensure accuracy of submissions, handle AP balances, revaluations, and group reporting for subsidiaries.
• Balance sheet control and forecasting support: reconcile accounts, post journals, provide inputs for budget/forecast activities, and submit national statistics surveys.
• Team and project support: cover critical treasury tasks during absences and participate or lead assigned business projects.

About You

• Proven expertise in managing cash flow with a strong background in AR/AP.
• Experience working with multiple currencies and budgeting/forecasting within a large, complex organisation.
• Professional accounting qualification such as CIMA, ACCA, or ACA (or finalist level) is essential.
