Job summary

A growing organization in Kent is seeking a Financial Accountant on a contract basis, offering £250 - £275 per day. This role includes ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, managing stock reconciliation processes, and supporting month-end reporting. Candidates should be newly qualified or finalists ACA/ACCA with strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel. Financial Accountant (Immediate start – Contract) | £250 - £275 per day (umbrella) | West Malling, Kent (1 day WFH)

A successful and growing organisation is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their central finance function on a contract basis.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all accounts.

Manage stock reconciliation processes, validating data between internal systems and ERP platforms.

Support the month-end and year-end reporting cycles, producing high-quality financial information for internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure statutory, legal and group reporting requirements are met in line with relevant deadlines.

Act as a key contact for both internal and external audit teams.

Provide financial insight and analysis to senior management when required.

Assist with additional projects, reporting tasks and ad-hoc finance initiatives across the department.

Skills & Experience

Newly qualified or finalist ACA / ACCA, or equivalent experience within a similar financial accounting role.

Strong analytical capability, with confident use of Excel (including formulas, pivot tables and data validation).

Experience with ERP or finance systems (SAP beneficial but not essential).

High level of attention to detail, with the ability to problem‑solve and manage multiple priorities.
