Responsibilities

  • Processing accounts payable invoices including preparing regular supplier payments.
  • Post cash payments to the ledger.
  • Ensure invoices are approved appropriately.
  • Assist with raising sales ledger invoices.
  • Assist with the recording of financial records.
  • Various reconciliations as part of the month end closedown.
  • Production of schedules as part of the month end process for accrued and deferred income.
  • Assist in the reconciliation and postings relating to company charge cards.
  • Support colleagues with ad hoc management information and reporting.

Skills

Proven experience within a similar varied accounts role
Confident communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a small team
Strong IT and systems skills including basic Excel

Finance Officer Responsibilities
  • Processing accounts payable invoices including preparing regular supplier payments
  • Post cash payments to the ledger
  • Ensure invoices are approved appropriately
  • Assist with raising sales ledger invoices
  • Assist with the recording of financial records
  • Various reconciliations as part of the month end closedown, including accounts receivable control account, petty cash reconciliations and other associated balance sheet reconciliations
  • Production of schedules as part of the month end process for accrued and deferred income

  • Support colleagues with ad hoc management information and reporting
