Job description

Ascent Recruitment is delighted to exclusively support a fantastic Wilmslow-based business in its search for a talented Finance Manager.

You will play a key role within the Group Finance team, leading the month-end process, producing high-quality management information, overseeing controls and improvements, and managing a small team.

This broad, hands-on role offers exposure to senior stakeholders and will suit either a Management Accountant ready to step up or an experienced Finance Manager seeking a new challenge.

Key Duties
  • Production of monthly consolidated Group management accounts
  • Full oversight of month-end close across all Group entities
  • Production of Board packs and KPI reporting
  • Acting as Audit Lead, managing the year-end audit process
  • Production of statutory year-end accounts for Group companies
  • Oversight and continuous improvement of Group financial controls and processes
  • Weekly cashflow forecasting and treasury management
  • Line management and development of a small team
  • Delivery of ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required
Key Skills and Experience
  • A proactive and confident finance professional
  • Qualified or Finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Possess a strong controls-focused mindset with experience driving process improvements
  • Personable leader, capable of managing and developing a small team
  • An excellent communicator
  • Advanced Excel user with strong data handling and reporting skills
