Overview

To ensure that the Finance tasks, detailed below, are completed to a high standard. To work closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director in establishing a best in class finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for monthly financial accounting
• Preparing month end pack which includes
  • Management Accounts
  • Board Report
  • Analysis of business performance
• Leading year end audit process
• Regulatory reporting including PSD and MLAR returns
• Production of daily bank covenant reporting
• Managing day to day treasury operations
• Preparation and submission of tax returns
• Ad-hoc project work to support business strategy
• Supervision of Accounts Assistant

Experience and qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant (actively studying at the final level) or newly qualified (ACCA/CIMA)
• Financial Services experience (particularly lending company experience) desirable
• Minimum 3 years previous experience in a finance role
• Proficiency in MS Excel
• Knowledge of an accounting software package
• Technically proficient

• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
