Financial Controller
The role would suit a relatively recently qualified individual with a clear desire for further advancement into managing an all-encompassing finance function. Equally, the role would suit an experienced Finance Manager who is excited by the challenge of contributing towards the continued rapid growth of a SME. However, such an individual must be willing to ‘roll up their sleeves’ and get involved in understanding, supporting and assessing all existing financial processes.
The role involves both the management of a team of 4, as well as direct involvement in day-to-day financial reconciliation and management reporting tasks. Accuracy, attention to detail, problem solving skills as well as a solid understanding of accountancy principles are essential requirements.
After a 3-6-month period the successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously and be able to drive the completion of error‑free financial reports to all the stakeholders with only minimal involvement of the Financial Controller. Bookkeeping, VAT control, accountancy and payroll management will then be handed over from the incumbent and processes will be assessed and integrated into the finance team.
Degree-level education; Accountancy chartership with QPE 2+ years Experience and interest leading, coaching and developing other qualified and non-qualified finance team members; Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills; Experience in financial services/insurance/regulated industry desirable but not essential.
At Vetsure, we are proud to offer a supportive, collaborative working environment where people feel valued and respected. We are passionate about the wellbeing of pets and the people who care for them, and we aim to provide an excellent experience for both customers and colleagues.
We invest in our people, offer opportunities for personal and professional development, and create a workplace culture where success is shared and achievements are recognised.
