Job summary

A leading hospitality group in the UK seeks a Finance Manager to oversee financial reporting and internal controls. Candidates should possess at least three years of relevant experience and a recognized finance qualification. This role requires a proactive approach to process improvement and involves coaching the finance team. Hybrid working conditions apply with some travel expected between locations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a hotel industry finance role is beneficial.
  • Ability to manage financial reports and ensure timely completion.

Finance Manager, Malmaison & Hotel du Vin
Competitive Salary, Permanent Contract
Location: Hybrid – 3 days per week from Gloucester Road Head Office
We’re looking for a Finance Manager to join our Central Finance Team, who will support our Malmaison and Hotel du Vin hotels, part of the Frasers Hospitality group.

About the role
Reporting into the Corporate Financial Controller for Malmaison & Hotel du Vin you will have overall responsibility for the following:
  • month end closing reports ensuring that the financial reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
  • manage the day-to-day coaching and development of the finance personnel overseeing the various direct reports.
  • responsibility for ensuring that Malmaison & Hotel du Vin has adequate internal controls and the ongoing compliance with group policies, statutory requirements and maintenance of sound accounting systems.
  • VAT - you'll submit all returns in a timely manner accurately whilst liaising with external agents as required.
  • manage payment approvals and bank mandates and look after our insurance renewals.
  • cashflow forecasting, and central cost centre accounting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • ensure adequate internal controls and ongoing compliance with group policies/statutory requirements and corporate governance and maintenance of sound accounting systems
  • liaise with the Company's external auditors on the completion and audit of Group and statutory financial reports
  • always be looking to improve our processes

We’re looking for someone with a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar position. You will hold a recognised finance/ accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA), and will ideally have experience of working with SAP. Experience of working in a finance role within the hotel industry would be beneficial.
This role is based at our Head Office in South Kensington and some travel between locations will be expected.
