The Role

The Finance Director / CFO will assume full responsibility for all financial aspects of the business, acting as a trusted adviser to the CEO, Board, and Leadership Team. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the role combines strategic leadership with hands‑on oversight, ensuring the business is well positioned to deliver profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing strategic financial leadership and insight to the CEO, Board, and Leadership Team
  • Owning the company’s financial strategy, performance analysis, and decision support
  • Leading and developing the finance team across management accounting, transactional finance, and credit control
  • Ensuring financial systems, controls, and processes are robust, compliant, and scalable
  • Driving budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning across the organisation
  • Managing working capital, cash flow, and revenue management policies
  • Delivering timely monthly management accounts, reporting packs, and ad‑hoc analysis
  • Supporting commercial decision‑making including pricing, contracts, and capital investment
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory, and taxation requirements
  • Managing external relationships including auditors, advisors, insurers, and customers
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, quality, and control
  • Playing a full role in shaping wider business strategy and supporting continued growth
About You

You will be an accomplished finance leader who combines technical excellence with strong commercial judgement and leadership presence.

Key Requirements
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting standards
  • Commercially focused, with the confidence to advise, challenge, and influence at senior level
  • Proven ability to analyse and model financial data, identify trends, and translate insight into action
  • Experience operating in fast‑paced, customer‑focused environments
  • Highly proficient in Excel and finance systems (ERP/CRM experience beneficial)
  • Comfortable operating autonomously while working collaboratively with the wider leadership team
