The Company

Able Bridge Recruitment is excited to partner with a well-established and rapidly growing Scottish brand in recruiting a Finance Director. The role is based in Stirling and reports directly to the Managing Director(s).

This vacancy has arisen due to the company's expansion plans, which led to a restructuring of the finance team.

The Responsibilities

The role's purpose is to provide a robust accounting service to the business owners, ensuring that financial controls are effective and appropriate. Responsibilities include month-end duties, ad hoc reporting, and analysis.

On a daily basis, you will be responsible for:

  1. Managing the company's cash flow and ensuring debt is managed effectively.
  2. Reviewing current transaction recording processes and implementing financial controls to prevent unrecorded transactions.
  3. Preparing and distributing monthly financial statements.
  4. Overseeing the audit process and working closely with the Finance Director to manage external stakeholder relationships.
  5. Managing day-to-day accounting operations, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, general ledger, inventory, and revenue recognition.
  6. Supervising the accounts team in the absence of the Finance Director.
