Financial Director

Due to this growth, our client is now seeking to recruit a commercially focused Financial Director to work closely with the business directors, assisting them in taking the business to the next level in line with its 5-year strategy.

Responsibilities

• Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks.
• Maintain constant awareness of the company’s financial position and act to prevent problems.
• Set targets for and supervise all accounting and finance personnel.
• Oversee the external audit and liaise directly with auditors.
• Develop the corporate fundraising strategy and manage relationships with banks, customers, and suppliers.
• Prepare timely and detailed reports on financial performance on a monthly basis and report directly to the board.
• Assist with hiring a finance manager/assistant to support you in your role.
• Ensure the stock system is properly maintained and reporting accurate figures.
• Conduct analysis to make financial forecasts and cash flows.
• Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.
• Manage budgets and forecasts.

Requirements and Skills

• Proven experience as a director of finance or similar role.
• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws, and best practices.
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and preferably experience with Xero.
• An analytical mind with strategic abilities.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities.
