Job description
Key Responsibilities: For Finance Business Partner

Play an important role in the Finance team’s interactions with assigned business functions on key financial performance measures including (but not limited to):

  • Detailed financial analysis inc Margins
  • Materials, subcontractor, labour and overhead costs
  • Inventory and provision

Financial Planning & Analysis:

Uses forecasting and data analysis to support financial planning, budget construction, and future projections.

Performance Management:

  • Helps business units meet their financial goals, identify risks, and find opportunities for growth and optimization. The successful applicant will rotate in the Factory to support different business functions over time, including (but not limited to):
    • Operations
    • Supply Chain
    • Engineering
    • Commercial
  • Preparation of information & analysis for regular reporting packs & presentations.
  • Preparation of other ad hoc reports & analysis for business leaders.
  • Supporting the budgeting and forecasting cycles in the business with high-quality financial information.
  • Support delivery of month-end reporting within tight deadlines
  • Working with Senior Finance Staff, CFO and finance team to look at ways to reduce costs

Skills Required:

  • Strong financial expertise and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to explain financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Analytical and data modelling skills.
  • Ability to drive change and challenge existing ways of working.
  • Proactive and collaborative mindset.

Qualifications and Background:

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
  • Background in financial analysis
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Strong technical accounting ability
  • Ability to work with senior leaders in a confident and constructive manner
  • Excellent communication skills – in person and in writing
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel
