RG Consultancy are delighted to be working with a fantastic charity based in Trafford who are looking to add a Finance Assistant to their team on a part time basis.

The role is for 18 hours per week, annualised allowing for amazing flexibility within the role. The candidate will work alongside the board and the CEO to help provide insight into the financial aspect of the business.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and operate financial systems using QuickBooks software.
  • Handle monthly payroll processing, including timesheets and submissions to HMRC and pension schemes.
  • Compile and review monthly management reports and balance sheets.
  • Record all income and expenses, ensuring accurate allocation between restricted and unrestricted funds.
  • Support the preparation of year-end accounts and coordinate with external auditors.
  • Work alongside senior management on budget planning and financial forecasting.
  • Manage procurement processes and source quotes for supplies and services.
Qualifications
  • Strong interest and ability in finance roles.
  • Previous experience within a finance assistant role.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • AAT qualified or other relevant qualification.
  • Previous experience within a charity environment (desirable).
  • Experience preparing payroll and pensions (desirable).
