Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Finance Assistant for a temp to perm role in Telford. The candidate will be responsible for processing payments, handling invoices, and supporting various financial tasks. Attention to detail and basic IT skills are essential. The role offers 37.5 hours per week with a salary range of £26,000 - £28,000 per annum.

Qualifications

  • Highly accurate with great attention to detail.
  • Basic IT skills in the use of emails, spreadsheets and word processing.

Responsibilities

  • Scanning incoming post and distributing.
  • Prepare and execute weekly payment run.
  • Email remittance advices from weekly payment run.
  • Update system with payments made.
  • Add new customers & delivery addresses.
  • Request credit limits with credit insurance company.
  • GL code all incoming invoices.
  • Scan relevant documents on daily basis.
  • Checking travel/employee expenses.
  • Supporting with credit control, sending statements weekly and maintaining weekly AR report.
  • Run VAT reports weekly & monthly.
  • Prepare VAT workings.
  • Run inventory reports weekly & help with stock transactions.
  • Bank reconciliations.
  • Credit release orders when required.
  • Supporting with various company events.
  • Answering incoming calls.
  • Upload legal documents when required.
  • Supporting with general finance & office administration tasks.
