Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively engaged by a long established and well respected South West business with an excellent reputation for quality, professionalism and customer service. The company offers a welcoming, collaborative culture and a modern waterside office environment in central Plymouth.

We are seeking an experienced Finance and Administration Assistant to support a busy and friendly finance team. This varied role offers flexibility to work full or part time depending on the needs of the successful candidate, and provides the chance to be involved in a wide range of accounting and administrative activities.

Key responsibilities
  • Managing the purchase ledger and processing supplier payments
  • Preparing and issuing sales invoices
  • Posting receipts and payments into accounting systems
  • Completing bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate records
  • Managing utilities, supplier contracts and liaising with external contacts
  • Providing general administrative and finance support to the wider team

You will bring previous bookkeeping or accounts administration experience, solid IT and Excel skills, and a keen eye for detail. Experience within a professional or commercial environment would be an advantage, though not essential.
