Salary: Circa £50,000 - £75,000 (Depending on experience)

Are you an experienced Marine Engineer with a passion for problem-solving? We are seeking a dedicated and flexible Field Service Engineer to join our global Marine team. We are a leading specialist in intelligent drive technology and offer innovative solutions and services to diverse industries, including marine, rail, energy, and more.

This is a permanent, full-time, field-based role that requires frequent travel. You must be willing to be away from home regularly, including on weekends and for extended periods, to meet our customers' needs.

The Role:

As a Field Service Engineer, you'll be a vital part of our team, providing on-site support for our marine products across the UK and Ireland. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting diagnostics, repairs, and major unit overhauls at customer or third-party sites.
  • Traveling internationally as part of the Global Marine Field Service team.
  • Collaborating with sales teams and customers to provide technical assistance and minimize downtime.
  • Identifying and reporting future business opportunities.
  • Completing all necessary reports and paperwork promptly.
  • Supporting colleagues and representing in a positive and professional manner.
  • Working unsociable hours when necessary to meet customer needs.
Your Skills & Experience:

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a strong background in both service and engineering. Essential competencies include:

  • A background in marine engineering (e.g., from the Royal Navy, Merchant Navy, or drydocks).
  • Experience with
    mechanical and electrical systems, including HV experience with electrical motors and inverters.
  • Proficiency with electronic control systems and Microsoft Office.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • Excellent technical communication skills.
