Field Service Engineer – Oxfordshire region. c£40k basic + vehicle + generous call out allowances (up to £7500) + bonus + benefits package. Our client provides bespoke in vitro diagnostic solutions for global supply, with 60 years’ experience in design, manufacture and support.

As a multi‑skilled Field Service Engineer, you will support Installation, Service, Repair and Technical Support of automated laboratory equipment used in Clinical and Industrial markets, primarily in the Oxfordshire region.

Responsibilities
  • Install, commission and service a range of automated laboratory equipment.
  • Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance and reactive repairs.
  • Provide technical support in customer-facing environments (hospitals, laboratories, and large FMCG clients).
  • Manage vehicle stock inventory efficiently and ensure work is completed on time with accurate documentation in line with engineering and service department requirements.
  • Attend training courses to maintain and expand knowledge, and stay up to date with industry advancements.
  • Support project work as required to meet deadlines and provide on-call service as part of the Service Team rota.
  • Comply with all company policies and applicable industry regulations and legislation, including Health & Safety and on-site SSOW requirements.
Qualifications
  • Based in or around the Oxford area with a full UK driving licence.
  • Qualified to at least ONC level or above in a relevant Electrical/Electronic Engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in a comparable service or maintenance environment; laboratory or medical equipment experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills at all levels.
