Field Service Engineer Vacancy – Berkshire, United Kingdom

Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer with a passion for engineering and excellent problem-solving skills? Our client, a well-established leader in automated storage solutions, is seeking a dedicated Field Service Engineer to join their growing engineering team, covering the South of the UK from the RG postcode region with occasional national travel.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct inspections, annual servicing, routine maintenance, and repairs on automated storage systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve technical faults independently.
  • Support system upgrades, including software updates.
  • Assist with the commissioning and installation of new systems at client sites.
  • Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns.
  • Provide technical support and product training to clients.
  • Complete and submit accurate service reports and documentation promptly.
  • Manage travel and schedule efficiently.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge of automated storage products and systems.
  • Represent our client professionally with a friendly and presentable manner.
Details & Benefits
  • Location: RG Berkshire postcode area, covering the South of the UK with occasional national and international travel (training purposes).
  • Salary: Competitive, discussed at interview, plus an annual discretionary profit-based bonus.
  • Hours: 08:00–16:30, Monday to Friday, with occasional pre-scheduled weekend work.
  • Holiday: 25 days plus bank holidays, with an additional day for every 5 years of service.
