Overview
Field Care Supervisor – Part-time, 20 hours per week (2.5 days, 0900 - 17:00 & 09:00-14:00). Days to be agreed with branch. Location: Barnstaple, Devon. Salary: £13,130. Type: Permanent, Part-time. A driving licence and own transport is essential for this role.

Responsibilities
- The Field Care Supervisor supports the delivery of high-quality care by carrying out field-based functions, including assessment and review of individual services and the practical supervision, instruction and support of care workers.
- Work with Care Coordinators to plan realistic, effective care worker rotas, considering individual needs and the skills and attributes of workers.
- Conduct regular reviews of individual services, including risk assessments and needs assessments.
- Participate in multidisciplinary reviews of service users\' needs as required.
- Shadow new care workers in the field to ensure their competence.
- Carry out on-site observation and evaluation of care worker practice as part of routine supervision or in response to performance concerns.
- Spend the majority of time in the community carrying out primary functions, with some office-based administrative work.
Qualifications
What you need:
- Experience in carrying out initial risk and needs assessments for individual service users, in their home or other settings such as hospitals or residential/nursing homes.
- Ability to work in partnership with service users, families, carers, advocates and healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care packages.
