Job description

In this role, you will support the Siemens Healthineers range of Blood Sciences laboratory diagnostics solutions. You will be required to troubleshoot and rectify applications issues, train customers, update software, launch new products and ensure that systems operate effectively, driving customer satisfaction and full resolution of queries. This is a Field Based role and requires a high level of willingness and flexibility for travel to customer sites throughout United Kingdom (but in particular Crewe/Stoke-on-Trent & North East Middleborough/Darlington) for which a full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities
  • Working with the Zone Services Operations team, you will take ownership of customer applications calls using service management software and AI tools to provide both remote and on-site support. Providing effective resolution of customer events in a timely manner.
  • Update system software within set deadlines. Inform customers of the advantages to be gained by the update and support relevant customer training.
  • Configure and optimise performance of laboratory solutions to meet customer needs. Identify workflow improvements and support assay evaluations in line with relevant quality standards.
  • Provide support to Blood Sciences customer sites, developing business opportunities, delivering product presentations and demonstrations to relevant stakeholders.
  • Contribute to creating a motivated, positive and communicative atmosphere when working with both internal and external stakeholders. Correspond with relevant team members regarding commercial information and opportunities.
  • Utilise set escalation processes to resolve customer events and inform management of situations where customer satisfaction is compromised or contractual obligations are unlikely to be met. This will require preparation of reports for customers and internal teams.
  • Participation in cross-functional projects, ensuring implementation timelines are adhered to by conducting assay evaluations and customer training as necessary.
  • Responsible for appropriate and timely complaint escalation, ensuring compliance with quality procedures and work instructions.
Qualifications
  • University Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent in relevant life science subject.
  • Experience in Blood Sciences. (Knowledge of laboratory automation and IT systems would be advantageous.)
  • Dependability, capacity for teamwork, decision making and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of laboratory UKAS accreditation standards would be beneficial.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Team player, willingness to learn and share knowledge.
  • Commercial awareness and high customer and stakeholder engagement.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Fluency in English language, both written and spoken.
