To work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to ensure that appropriate intrapartum and antenatal fetal monitoring care plans are made. Maintaining a focus on individualised care and considering the whole clinical picture at all times.
To support midwives and obstetricians to ensure effective implementation of the intrapartum and antenatal fetal monitoring guidelines.
To work flexibly to support best fetal monitoring practice in both antenatal and intrapartum areas including maternity triage, day assessment unit, antenatal ward, labour ward and low-risk birth settings.
Using specialist expert knowledge, experience and practice, continually update and develop fetal monitoring within the Trust, embedding the latest evidence-based practice, in line with national requirements.
