Job description
Overview

We are looking for a Festival Coordinator to join us from November 2025 to end of July 2026 to support the team to deliver the 2025 Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival. We are seeking a dynamic and proactive administrator with an enthusiasm for live events. You will be able to work well as part of a team as well as being self-motivated and stimulated by working in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support the festival programming and marketing teams
  • Liaise with artists to fulfil contractual obligations including travel, hotels, backline, immigration, catering etc within budget parameters
  • Produce performance schedules and supplementary information and artists itineraries
  • Ensure event compliance and safeguarding
  • Liaise with venues, ensuring contractual obligations are fulfilled and confirming logistics
  • Assist with recruitment, briefing and management of the festival team
  • Maintain EJBF’s equipment inventory
  • On the night logistics management of EJBF’s Community Orchestra
  • Any other duties as required by the Executive Producer

Reporting to the Executive Producer, this role will assist in the planning, implementation and evaluation of our festival and related activities.

Job Details
  • November and December 2025: Part-time (20 hours per week)
  • January to end July 2026: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 10am–6pm (40 hours per week)

At various times, you will be required to work outwith these hours. EJBF provides time off in lieu (TOIL) for any additional hours worked.

Location: EJBF’s office in Leith/remote working as agreed. During our events work will take place on location

Payment: £26,208 per annum pro rata

You would be entitled to 22.7 days holiday (including public holidays) to be taken before July and be added to the Company’s pension scheme
