“I am a happy and cheerful 14-year-old! I enjoy going to the park. I enjoy playing in the garden with bubbles or ball games and playing games inside. I enjoy music and dance. I can communicate using single words to express my wants and needs, but I am also using Picture Exchange Communication (PECs). I may gesture to something I want, but please encourage me to communicate what I want by using PECs or speech. When out in the community, please hold my hand as I have no awareness of danger or road safety.”

Her parents would first like a PA to support this young person in the home so they can build up a relationship. This would involve playing in the garden with her and doing a variety of activities inside including playing, drawing and music.
